With all my senses I discover and get surprised by the wisdom of the life’s flow. This is fully related to improvisation. We move in a ready-made world image. Before my first inhale and after my last exhale everything already EXISTS. I only have to BE.
To move from point A to point B with acceptance, understanding, and sincerity.
I’m interested in the intensity of presence, in the real involvement into what we create right now: dance, relationships, life.
Dance includes physical development, technique, emotional broadening, and the aesthetic enjoyment. The question is: who is enjoying? Who dances, watches and enjoys at the same time? Where is this “enjoyment muscle” located? How can we exercise it, stretch it, use it? How do we transform from eccentrics who just love CI into aesthetes who are subtly tuned into beauty, fun and sensuality.
We will dance, watch and create a piece of art. A piece that is constantly changing as life. Because this is improvisation.
Improvisation is a game with the known and the unknown. With the rules that can be followed or broken. With a degree of freedom which is followed or broken.
Improvisation can be comprehended only through practice and improvisation. For that purpose we propose:
Games and search for meanings as a way to create common ground on the work-shop.
Scores which will allow us to integrate our skills of performance.
Free space as a practice of spontaneity and creation.
We will investigate the play of elements: water, air, earth, fire. We will create the conditions for these powers to reveal themselves in the body, the space and the dance. To broaden, to explode, to feel the flow, to stick our noses into movement and stillness, silence and sound.
We will be recalling that we can perceive, feel, see and hear the beauty. For this we shall have time, music, silence, presence and disappearing.

I have studied to be a choreographer, I´ve been taught various skills of training and means of teaching the body of another person. In my “archive” there are many stage pieces from folk dance to ballet miniatures. My work in the Theatre has been the tastiest. The actors, direction and dramaturgy broadened my mind and my image of the dance art form. I began to see how the art of charming the audience is created.
Since I´ve met contact improvisation and the first CI teachers, I practice the art of de-educating the body of another person and disentangling the illusions about movement and dance.
I think that the human being is already perfect the way it is created, and I believe in nature and it´s laws.
I´m prompted in life by the ability to fall in love unconditionally and undoubtedly with people, movement, mountains, journey, ideas. This ability has helped me to learn everything that forms me right now. This is what teaches the others.
CI is the only dance that helps me leave the limits of personality and transform my consciousness. In this sense I´m the student, not the teacher. The better I learn, the more chances have the others to learn something from me.
My special interest in contact improvisation is clarity. Clarity towards the practice. Honesty towards how do I move my weight in the space of Gravity. Attention towards clearing the dance from the personal. Letting things happen as they do.
I´m grateful for meeting such teachers as Steve Paxton, Nancy Stark Smith, Danny Lepkoff, Benno Voorham, Lisa Nelson, Esther Gal, Alexandr Girshon, Yaniv Mintzer, Yorg Hassman, Martin Keo and many others.

The workshop takes place at Spazio Seme ( Via del Pantano, 36) in Arezzo – Tuscany (IT)
You can stay in Spazio Seme even for the night, with the sleeping bags. If there are some special needs (especially about food), let us know and we’ll try to manage at best!
The workshop is 140 € if you subscribe before march 20 th (only friday dinner isn’t included) – 155 € for subscriptions after March 20th.
